Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate an account and the study service:
- Email address, authentication identifiers, and security/session data.
- Membership tier, subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription references, and consent records. Fire Spark does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
- Study activity such as answers, scores, favorites, reading position, audio position, and progress.
- Limited request and device information used for security, fraud prevention, rate limiting, and troubleshooting, including an IP address when those controls require it.
- If an authorized user connects Google Drive or an LMS, the tokens, session credentials, file metadata, and synchronization records needed to provide that connection.
We do not ask for a name, phone number, date of birth, home address, rank, medical information, or government identifier during ordinary signup.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, provide and personalize study features, process and administer subscriptions, preserve progress, secure the service, respond to support requests, comply with law, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers
Fire Spark uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payment and subscription services, hosting infrastructure for delivery and operational logs, Upstash where configured for rate limiting, and Google only when a user or administrator chooses a Google-connected feature. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Retention and security
We keep account and study information while an account is active and as reasonably needed for security, billing, tax, dispute, backup, and legal obligations. Policy and subscription-consent records may be retained after account closure when needed to document the transaction. We use access controls and server-side authorization, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information, subject to identity verification and records we must retain. You may disconnect optional integrations and cancel future subscription renewals through the Stripe billing portal. Browser controls can remove local storage and cookies, although removing necessary authentication storage signs you out.
Children
Fire Spark is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Paid membership is intended for adults or people who have the authorization of a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date and, when required, communicated through the account or email before they take effect.
